I apologize for not updating regularly.? Jeff and I have been extremely busy this week.? I’ll quickly summarize what we did starting from Sunday.
Sunday – The Bucana Youths had the talent show.? It was a great experience… plus we got to see Ben dance =).
Monday – The four of us helped out the SO ladies with the street kids; bathing them, general hygiene (brushing teeth, nail clipping, etc…).? Then we fed them with Jollibee food and had them watch a Christian-moral video.
Tuesday – was sort of our relax day.? Ben, Che, Liz, Tim, Beth, and Clair? (all short term missionaries) all went with us to Paradise Beach.? I say it was somewhat relaxing because I was too tired to really enjoy that time.? Jeff, Michael, and Daniel all got a sunburn =).
Wed. & Thurs. – Jeff and I went to Isla Verde with Daniel to film the Isla Verde community for the website that I’ll be making (www.mupt.org/products).? Also we took pictures of ever single card they made and created a gallery (which is already up – PLEASE TAKE A LOOK).? I still have a lot to do to the site? when I get back home.
Friday – I went with Che Che to hunt for material so that I could make a flower press for the Isla Verde card making group.? Che helped me sand which took a loooonngggg time, we didn’t finish it totally, but it was completed enough that Che/Ben could finish it off.? We also had a 6 hour long assessment meeting for the four of us plus Claire and Tim who were also leaving next week.? Then we had the weekly street walk at 12:30am, but the interesting thing was that Jeff and I tried Balut, which wasn’t too bad =D.
Sat. – WE COME BACK HOME!!!! While I’m a little sad that we’re leaving so early, I do miss home =D.
