Dear BASIC,
Once again, this summer two individuals, Greg Tam and Eugene Wong, will be journeying back to the Philippines to serve along side  MUPT and continuing their relational building with the community they reached out to last year in Zamboanga City. God has blessed these two by allowing them to take time off from work and opening other doors that would otherwise be obstacles to be opened.
There will be new opportunities to witness to new groups as well as implementing new ways to minister to the local urban Filipino poor this year, and so they would like to have all those close to them (friends/family) join in as they embark on their trip soon. Joining can be done by being a prayer supporter, contributing financially, or even just as an audience (receiving e-mail updates or checking the latest blog-posts): please see below and reverse side for more details.
As difficult as ministering to the urban poor in a cross-cultural setting already is, the communities there will be mostly Muslims.  There will be cultural barriers and religious barriers so they do asks for lots of prayer to overcome these areas.  Thankfully, MUPT has already established a relationship with some of these Muslim communities so they basically have one foot in the door.
Both Eugene and Greg have been preparing for this STM spiritually and they both can’t wait to get on the plane for God!
