Philippines Team: Update #7

On day 3 in Zamboanga, Ate Loyda, Ate Sol, Kuya Jerry, and Kuya Bobong, showed us more of what the town has to offer. We went to the local Palengke (fish market), City Hall, and the National Museum of Zamboanga. Later that evening, we went to Rio Hondo to shadow Ate Loyda and Kuya Jerry as they taught the youth in the community.

 

Prayer requests:

The current main objective is to create solid relationships with the community in order build trust between us and them. The problem is, however, the language barrier is preventing us from doing so.

We would like to ask you all to pray that we’d be able to communicate our thoughts and feelings to the youth in the Rio Hondo community so we’d create good relationships and prevent any sort of misunderstanding.

Also please continue to pray for the safety of the team, of the people who are taking care of us, and of the community.
